Dog Park

Bremyer Dog Park, an off-leash park where dogs and their owners can socialize and play, opened in November 2016. Three acres donated by the City and an anonymous $25,000 gift in memory of a local family provided start-up funds for the park's development. Additional donations and many community volunteer hours resulted in a beautiful dog-friendly rest area featuring grassy areas, shelters and irrigation.

Located at 1000 S. Centennial, Bremyer Dog Park includes separate areas for large and small dogs. Both sections have Bermuda grass open space and shaded areas. Facilities offer watering stations, benches and waste receptacles.

The dog park project represents the power of community collaboration. The City of McPherson and its residents worked together to address a community need. Their dedication carries forward as they address ongoing maintenance issues. Individuals interested in volunteering or making a donation should contact the McPherson Dog Park Association at 620.242.3184 or macdogpark@gmail.com.
