On Jan. 20, 2026, the City of McPherson Commission approved updates to the City’s snow & ice removal policies.
The policy outlines how City staff will respond to and prepare for the threat of winter weather events.
The plan outlines the prioritized routes into three categories — Priority A, B & C — with the highest traffic and emergency routes taking precedence. During days where school is in session, those streets are added to the priority list.
The plan includes maps of the prioritized roadways in the event removal is necessary.
