McPHERSON — The McPherson Water Park will have reduced hours Saturday and Sunday, July 23 and 24, 2022. The water park continues to face staffing issues as part of a lifeguard shortage that has plagued numerous facilities across the nation.
The facility will open from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday. The big water slide will also not be available those two days.
Earlier this week, the McPherson City Commission voted 3-0 in favor of offering those who purchased season passes the option to earn a to-be-determined credit at the end of the year to be used toward a pass in 2023.
