McPHERSON — The water slide, lazy river and splash pad at the McPherson Water Park continues to be out of operation.
Staff has continued to work to solve the issue, working with specialists and contractors to get it up and running.
The systems all operate on the same circulation system, so all are required to remain closed while the issue is addressed.
The latest update is there is a significant leak in the system that has been hard to detect. However, it has been spotted and the City of McPherson currently is waiting patiently for quotes to deal with the necessary repairs.
Any further updates will be sent out when there is further information to report. The McPherson Water Park and City of McPherson realizes this is an inconvenience, but the safety and operation of the facility remains a top priority.
