RESOLUTION NO. 2022-08
Pursuant to K.S.A. 26-201 and other applicable authority, the City of McPherson, Kansas hereby deems it necessary and appropriate to appropriate private property for the use of the City for the purposes of laying a municipal water line.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
1. In order to bring the municipal water supply currently located at the South Well Field in Northern Harvey County, Kansas to the City of McPherson, it is necessary to lay a water line from such well field to the McPherson BPU Water Treatment Facility to be constructed near the existing blend plant in the City of McPherson, Kansas. The City of McPherson, Kansas hereby authorizes a survey and description of the land or interest to be condemned by a competent engineer and filed with the City Clerk.
This Resolution shall be published once in the official City newspaper and upon the filing of the survey and description of the land or interest to be condemned, the governing body shall, by ordinance, authorize and provide for the acquisition of such land or interest as provided in Kansas statutes.
This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption.
