    You are responsible for contacting and informing them on the matter.

  17. Please note, you are responsible for the transportation of the benches to and fromyour event. Benches can be picked up and returned Monday through Fridaybetween 7:00 a.m. And 3:00 p.m. The Park Department is closed on Weekends andHolidays. Benches are to be returned to the Park Department complex with 3Business days of your event. Benches are not to be left outside of the ParkDepartment gates. If the benches are not returned within 3 business days and/or aredamaged forfeiture of your $150.00 deposit will occur.

  27. 5K race routes*

    There are five different routes that are allowed by the City for 5K races. These are the only routes that will be accepted. Please choose one of the following routes that work best for your event. Note: If you plan to use paint or mark routes for runs/walks/bike rides on City streets, it must be water-soluble material.

  29. • Trash Removal: The applicant is responsible for ensuring that all trash, recycling, and other debris are placed in appropriate refuse containers during and after the event. McPherson Park Department will NOT place additional trash receptacles in the park.  Groups are required to contract with McPherson Area Solid Waste Utility for poly carts and solid waste haulers.  Contact MASWU at 620.241.6559.  

    • The site is permitted as is.  Groups are responsible for the cleanup of the site, including trash. If your event needs support from Public Lands and Facilities. Additional fees could be required and billed per hour (minimum 4 hrs.).

    • The person(s) or organization(s) shall be responsible for any damages occurring in connection with/or in consequence of such use.

    • The person(s) or organization(s) shall be responsible for the behavior of the person(s) attending and shall be responsible for all necessary expenses.

    • Parking or driving on fields or courts is not permitted.

    • Any violations of the above-mentioned rules may result in immediate revocation of permit and/or refusal to consider future requests for permits.

    • The City of McPherson will bill race organizers, police officers' overtime rate plus fringe benefits for each additional officer required as a result of a run/walk held within the city.  If no additional officers are required above normal shift levels no charges will be assessed.
