A new medical facility in downtown McPherson is providing much needed services to low-income residents. GraceMed McPherson Family Clinic opened on May 15 and offers primary health and dental care. The clinic accepts all forms of insurance, including Medicare and Medicaid. Services are also available for qualified, uninsured patients using a sliding scale to determine fees based on household income.GraceMed McPherson Family Clinic evolved from concerns expressed by Circles of McPherson County, a local non-profit organization that identified lack of access to affordable healthcare as a barrier to their client’s ability to escape poverty. Community volunteers spearheaded by Mayor Tom Brown formed a committee to address the concern and were successful in securing a partnership with GraceMed, which oversees 12 clinics in Wichita and two in Topeka. GraceMed is dedicated to serving Kansas wherever there is a need for greater access to affordable, holistic healthcare.GraceMed McPherson Family Clinic, located at 322 N.
